Pyongyang, February 24 (KCNA) -- The delegates to the Ninth Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea elected the great Comrade Kim Jong Un to the top post of the dignified WPK again. With higher political enthusiasm, they are continuing their work, according to the schedule of the congress, full of confidence in victory and optimism about the bright future of the WPK, the eternal prosperity of the DPRK and the rosy future of Korean-style socialism.

The fifth-day sitting of the congress was held on Feb. 23.

Upon authorization of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, Jo Yong Won made a report to the congress on the decision of the First Plenary Meeting of the Ninth Central Committee of the WPK held earlier.

Kim Jong Un made an important concluding speech.

He said that the general analysis of the five-year-long struggle at the congress has given us an instructive occasion for all the delegates to bear in mind the precious experience and lessons, as well as the sense of pride in the achievements made with much effort, and to renew their solemn decision to make redoubled efforts to meet the demands of the revolution and the times for making the past five years of transformation lead on to the five years of greater transformation.

He said that the newly elected ninth-term Central Committee of the WPK will faithfully live up to the trust and expectations of all the Party organizations and members with its responsible leadership role and will have its work fairly appreciated through its efforts for accelerating the development of the great country and bringing more substantial benefits earlier to the people.

The whole course of our socialist construction is run through with the three revolutions - ideological, technological and cultural - and the socialist construction has advanced in the struggle for carrying out the line of the three revolutions, he said, stressing that the great cause of comprehensive development can also be accomplished earlier and more successfully only when the Party's leadership and the state's guidance are enhanced over the implementation of the three revolutions and the masses approach the work with a responsible attitude.

The new five-year struggle, too will rely entirely on our own forces and the great strength of our people and will invariably hold high the ideology of believing in the people as in Heaven, single-minded unity and self-reliance as the banner of struggle and advance as we did in the past five-year struggle which pioneered the period of comprehensive development of socialism, he said, ardently calling for a vigorous struggle to bring earlier the day when the people's ideals and aspirations will be wonderfully realized by redoubling confidence in the future of the socialist cause, enthusiasm and fighting spirit.

All the delegates responded with stormy cheers of "Hurrah!" to the conclusion full of ardent appeal and revolutionary will of General Secretary Kim Jong Un calling the whole Party to the vanguard of the sacred struggle to bring the steady prosperity of our state and the rosy future of socialism.

The Congress went into the work procedure to study and discuss in detail the long-term goals and plans of the ninth-term Party Central Committee before reflecting them on the decision.

Study and consultative meetings are taking place, divided into the sectors of industry, agriculture, light industry, culture, construction, military affairs, arms industry, judicial affairs, foreign affairs and Party affairs.
