One February day of a year Chairman Kim Jong Il summoned officials and told them the problems arising in improving the people’s livelihood.

Citing the facts that he acquainted himself with while visiting different parts of Pyongyang City and other local areas, Kim Jong Il said that indifference to the people’s living standard is indifference to the people themselves and in the DPRK society nothing is worse than this indifference. He said that the people had entrusted the Party with everything and they call the Party a motherly party and, in order to fulfill their responsibility and role as the workers of a motherly party and to prove themselves worthy of the people’s trust and expectations, Party officials must have genuine traits of a real mother.

Kim Jong Il told them that mother’s benevolence towards her children is pure, profound and genuine and that is why children call for their mothers when they are happy, when they are sad and even when they are grown up.
