When looking back upon the human history of politics, every party has advocated the people mostly in dealing with its ideals and policies.
However, it is difficult to find out an example proving that the policies are for the people’s interests and the latter are benefited by the former. On the contrary, the policies in capitalist countries become a root cause of the people’s misfortunes and sufferings due to the anti-people character of their political system.
The Workers’ Party of Korea is a party whose basic political mode of socialism is the policies based on the people-first principle.
As it regards it as a mode of its existence and a revolutionary Party custom to make selfless, devoted efforts for the good of the people, the WPK formulates policies by always paying deep attention to what the people want and what popular feelings aspire for and by reflecting the people’s desire, demand and will, and implements them.
Tens of thousands of flats are built every year to provide the people with them free of charge and the most superior 12-year compulsory free education is enforced, and at the same time, school uniforms, schoolbags and school things are produced at the huge state expenses and the students are supplied with them free of charge and the children throughout the country are provided with highly nutritious dairy products every day. These facts tell how weighty importance is attached to the serve-the-people spirit of the WPK policies.
Starting point, formulation and implementation of the policies of the WPK are thoroughly subordinated and directed to the efforts to regard the people’s demand and interests as the absolute and serve them.
The life of the WPK’s policies is based on the absolute spirit of serving the people.
