On the last day of 1994, the year when President Kim Il Sung passed away, Chairman Kim Jong Il visited a military post of the Korean People’s Army.

Seeing servicemen shedding tears without saying anything, Kim Jong Il soothed them and said that children would be singing songs at the New Year celebration in Pyongyang and they were defending the songs by force of arms. He added that his visit aimed to emphasize that the children’s songs should be defended by force of arms.
