On December 20, 2006 Chairman Kim Jong Il taught senior officials of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea the important issues arising in strengthening education in socialism.

Noting that the present situation within and without and the important revolutionary task urgently require to strengthen education in socialism more than ever among cadres, the Party members and working people, the Chairman said that the more complicated and acute the situation was, the more desperately the enemy moved against socialism and the more difficult the struggle was, the bigger attention they should pay to ideology and the more intensively and proactively they should launch ideological campaign in all fronts of the revolution and construction.

The Chairman stressed that it was of primary importance to educate cadres, the Party members and working people with faith in socialism.

The Chairman continued that faith in socialism is a steadfast confidence in validity of the cause of socialism and inevitability of its victory and a strong will to struggle to the last for the consummation of the cause of socialism. The Chairman said with earnest that faith in socialism is a life and soul for the cadres, the Party members and the people.
