Soul of Heroes Shines Forever as Star of Merit in Bosom of Great Sun

    It was when Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un came to the (then)Cemetery of the Fallen Soldiers of the Korean People’s Army nearing completion.

    Being told the situation of construction in front of the map showing its bird’s-eye view, the Supreme Leader moved his steps towards the gatepost.

    Saying that he can expressively picture that the fallen soldiers of the People’s Army enjoy immortality in the bosom of the Party and the Republic as the gatepost gives descriptions of the Party flag and the national flag of the Republic, the Supreme Leader highly appreciated that the gatepost has been erected finely as a monumental edifice.

    The officials concerned looked back upon the past days.

    The Supreme Leader spared his precious time to acquaint himself with situation of the cemeteries of fallen soldiers of the People’s Army in Pyongyang City and took benevolent measure to select a site near mountain in the environs of Pyongyang City to grandly erect the cemetery of soldiers fallen in the Fatherland Liberation War.

    Later, the Supreme Leader had taught in detail the ways for perfect design and the formation of building forces, stressing that the gatepost of the cemetery should be depicted finely so as to make visitors full of noble feelings.

    The Supreme Leader asked the officials being deeply touched by such recollection of him the number of those to be buried in the cemetery and told them to erect the cemetery. The Supreme Leader explained that the fallen soldiers of the People’s Army had sacrificed their youth and life in the war to follow the leadership of President Kim Il Sung and rendered heroic services that would shine for ever in history of the country. The Supreme Leader said meaningfully that today’s happiness is the precious fruition born by self-sacrifice of the fallen soldiers of the People’s Army.

    Looking round the monument erected at the center of the cemetery, the Supreme Leader told to further underline the symbolic representation of the bayonet, the monument to be true to nature.

    The Supreme Leader earnestly said that the owner of well-known and unsung People’s Army soldiers fallen in the war is the Workers’ Party of Korea, adding that there has been the owner of the tomb from olden times.

    Many years elasped since the end of the war, but all the KPA soldiers lead an immortal life in the bosom of the WPK.

    Indeed, the soul of soldier heroes who dedicated their lives without hesitation for the country shines forever like stars in the bosom of the great sun.
